June 2015 Project Life (Weeks 23-26)

Happy August Long Weekend for all Canadians!!

Phew! Finally got June's PL pages done! Really thankful for the PL App that makes it easy and super simple for me to do these pages really fast!

June marks the beginning of our Summer Bucket List, my Mom's hip surgery, among other things.

Week 23: This week I started our annual Summer Bucket List, my Mom had her Hip Replacement Surgery and just lots of family time. Kits used: Good Times Value Kit, Dazzle Mini Kit, Family Themed Cards, Everyday Adventure, and Aqua

Week 24: This week included a trip out to see my Mom after her hip surgery, riding the horses and playing with the babies, Violet getting her first bloody lip and getting a Costco Membership. Kits used: Just Add Colour, Peace, Love and Sunshine Value Kit, Love Story, Everyday Adventure, and Aqua

Week 25: This week involved skinned knees, picnic at the park, and spending an evening at the local fair where Violet rode quite a few of the kids rides! Kits used: Aqua, Family Themed, Everyday Adventure

Week 26: This week involved seeing 2 movies (Jurassic World and Inside Out), Date Night, gardening, puzzles and painting. And Dominique falling asleep in weird places. Kits used: Peace, Love and Sunshine Value Kit, Love Story, Plus One Mini Kit, Aqua.

May 2015 Project Life (Weeks 19-22)

Weeks 19-22

Week 19: Again, lots of playing outside, good food and grocery shopping. And since this week covered Mother's Day, Keith had homemade bread and Spinach Dip ready for me when I got home from work that Sunday. Have I mentioned that he's the best?! Kits used: Project Life Everday Adventure, quote card from Elise Joy.

Week 20: Of course, you always have to have a week that just starts off wonky, right? Well, that was this week. Violet came down with a double ear infection and a sinus cold that had us in the hospital for 5 hours on a Monday night. We got there around 8:30pm and didn't leave until 1am. Very long night indeed. Otherwise, it was a routine week.

Week 21: Again, more of the same stuff this week. Violet went away to her Grandma's for the night, visiting the Splash Park, and finding worms for the garden.

Week 22: This is the week that I turned 30. Keith took me out for supper while my Mom took the girls for the day (!! Best Mom Ever!!), we visited the Splash Park with friends, rode Rocket and more family time.

Thanks for stopping by!

April 2015 Project Life (Weeks 15-18)

I was in the mood to scrapbook last week and got quite a bit done when I could. It's especially handy now that I do all my Project Life on their app. More convenience and easier!

Here's my layouts for April.

Week 15: Not much going on this week. Visiting great-grandparents, shenanigans around the house, lots of playing with Lego and riding horses. Kits used: Love Story, Everyday Adventure.

Week 16: This week included lots of playing outside, family date to Mongo's for supper, knitting and more playing.

Week 17, 1st spread: This was a busy week. This first spread is the beginning of the week, and Dominique's Smash Cake that she had for her 1st birthday. She absolutely loved it.

Week 17, 2nd spread: The left side of this spread is Dominique's 2 birthday parties that she had for her 1st birthday (split families suck. That's all I'm saying). The right side is usual stuff that goes on, including getting both girls to ride horses.

Week 18: This week was back to normal. Lots more playing outside, watching out little garden grow, celebrating Keith's birthday and our 7th anniversary.

March 2015 Project Life

Time for my Project Life pages for March 2015!

As always with this year, I did all these pages on the Project Life App, using a couple different kits and some odd stuff thrown in from my computer, including quotes from Elise Joy.

Even though I'm about 2 months behind, I'm still loving the process and am attempting to get a couple more weeks done during nap times today and tomorrow.

Week 10. Both pages are Design A, with quote card from Elise Joy and digital stamp from Ali Edwards. Kiwi kit is used.

Week 11. Both pages are Design A with quote card from Elise Joy. Used Kiwi Kit

Week 13. Left page is Design A, right page is Design K. Used Midnight, Everyday Adventure and Just Add Colour kits. Quote cards from Elise Joy.

Week 13. Left page is Design X, right page is Design Y. Used Kiwi and Midnight Kits

February 2015 Project Life

Whew, it's been a while since I've posted anything for Project Life. Like I said in my last post, I hit a slump during May. But it's nice to be posting these again.

Like usual, I've been using the Project Life App, mainly using the Kiwi Kit, with some other stuff thrown in for fun. And it seems to be working. And it's easy for me to keep up, even when I fall behind several weeks.

So without further waiting, here's the February Project Life pages.

For Week 6, I used a combination of Kiwi and Seafoam, along with the quote cards from Elise. A pretty normal week, including Keith sending me a photo of an frozen artisan well (thank you plumber hubby), and the start of our indoor garden with Keith's hot peppers.

For Week 7, I stuck mainly with the Kiwi kit, along with some other elements from my computer (via dropbox). And our surprise Valentine's Date that Keith planned.

Week 8 was a normal-ish week here at home. Lots of play time, cooking (like always) and knitting. But it was a good week.

Week 9 was an average week (again). Shopping, family time and Asain take-out.

Whew! Thanks for taking the time to look!

January 2015 Project Life

I've decided to share a monthly look at my Project Life pages for 2015. It's much easier for me to do this as I don't have to worry about keeping up every week. I just do a post at the end of the month and voilĂ , done.

All my layouts are created in the Project Life app (only available on iDevices right now), with some editing done on my computer and input into the app via Dropbox. I'm mainly using the Kiwi Kit (available on the app) for 2015, with some odd other kids thrown in when needed.

Here's the layouts for January 2015.

Week 1: Not much going on this week. I'm also including a quote card that I found on Elise Joy's site (I'll be doing that every week for 2015).

Week 2: Again, not much going on. Visiting family, making cheesecake cupcakes with Keith. The usual.

Week 3: A bit more going on here. Grocery shopping, new yarn purchases, and time with Daddy

Week 4: This week was busy. Family nap time, family date night, night out at Celebrations Dinner Theatre with my Mom and time with my girls.

Week 5: Lots of play time, knitting, laundry, food and crafts.

June Project Life 2014: Weeks 24 - 26

So I'm changing some things up here. Instead of trying to blog every week my Project Life layouts (which is failing miserably), I've decided to just blog once a month about them instead. Makes it way easier on me, especially if I'm falling behind. And only one post a month!

Onto the remainder of June's layouts!

What we did this week:
Not much really. Lots of walks, visiting with family. Documented Dominique's sleep schedule and what Violet is up to lately.

 Week 25 (June 15-21, 2014)

Week 26 (June 22-28, 2014)

Project Life 2014: Weeks 22+23

Welcome to Project Life 2014: Week 22 (May 25-31)!

A lot of good family time and snuggles this week. And it was nice.

I've been keeping my layouts really simple lately, although I'm hoping to do some more embellishing with upcoming layouts. I have to plan when I'm going to be working on Project Life, which is mainly during the girls' afternoon nap. But then my bed calls for me and I end up sleeping as well. Thankfully, once the girls' are in bed in the evening, I can usually have 2-3 hours of quiet, but then I try to spend it with Keith. Balancing priorities.

Again, I've been using the Messy Weekly Lines to mark the week, which I like a lot. It's nice because I can use a scenic photo or one that doesn't have a lot of "stuff" on there instead of using a Title Card. And it looks good too!

And still using all the journal cards from the Project Life Midnight Kit. Love them.

Why yes! I did catch Dominique smiling. And she's so full of them these days.

Week 23(June 1-7)
Again, lots of family time. I love that I get to be a SAHM (stay at home Mom), because it enables me to catch routines of everyday and watch my girls grow up (way too fast though!).

By the way, notice that both Violet and Dominique kind of sleep the same way, all stretched out? Definitely my girls. And yes, Violet fell asleep reading Green Eggs and Ham, using her Teddy Bear as a bookmark. A girl after my own heart.

The journal cards are a mixture of PL Cinnamon and PL Baby Girl.
The bonus about this week was that I was finally cleared to start riding horses again. Although it's nice to be able to ride again, it's not the same. My own horse died 2 years ago and I'm not keen on getting another one. Life is busy right now with 2 kids and horses are way too expensive for us. I was lucky to have my horse for 18 years, but I'm not looking to get back into it again. My Dad had a horse for me if I want to ride and Violet wanted to see Papa and the horses, so it was nice excuse to be able to ride again, but it's something I won't be doing very often.

Anyway, I digress.

I'm hoping to get the rest upload and blogged by the end of the week and then start working on some series or something for this blog. I like that I've been doing my PL spreads on here, but I'm feeling almost a "push" to start regularly blogging again, mainly about life and motherhood. Hoping to get something off the ground soon.

Project Life 2014 - Weeks 20 + 21

Welcome to Project Life 2014, Week 20 (May 11-17)!

Sorry about the lack of regular posting lately. Time got away from me and I didn't realize how long it's been. I'm going to try to do catch-up posts over the next week to get up to speed.

Week 20 of 2014. Not a whole lot going on, except for Violet taking 10 years off my life in one week, visiting with my grandparents and family time.
"Week Twenty" is from Messy Weekly Lines and the date is font Sunday Comics. Yellow journal card is from PL Baby Girl Kit. Black and White journal card is from the PL Midnight Kit. "Love It" flair is from Two Peas in a Bucket (who, sadly, are closed now). The "#<3 a="" brush="" digital="" from="" href="http://www.designerdigitals.com/digital-scrapbooking/supplies/product_info.php/products_id/18039" is="" target="_blank" this="">Heart Happy
. I was creative enough to spread it across two 3x4's and have it positioned perfectly for cutting it. Yeah!
I used my Pink Sharpie Paint Pen for the upper left photo. And it worked out pretty good! Geo tag is from Studio Calico, journal card is from PL Midnight and the digital stamp is from Embracing the Everyday.

Oh, and lots of cuddles, as you can tell here. Dom's finally been wanting to cuddle when she's tired, which makes me and Keith very happy. And Violet's always happy to see her in the morning as well.

Week 21 (May 18-24)
Lots of family time together this week. Due to so many photos, I had to use an insert, which is a Design A cut in half.
"Week Twenty-One" is from Messy Weekly Lines. Think I'll be sticking with those for the rest of the year, as it's a nice way to get an extra photo in there, especially if it's a scenery one. The font is Brick by Boring Brick. The filler card is a digital stamp from Ali Edwards called Embracing the Everyday and the journal card is from PL Midnight. The hearts are from Studio Calico.
More cute photos of Dom. She's growing up so fast, I can't resist taking photos of her these days! The <3 a="" digital="" family="" from="" href="http://www.designerdigitals.com/digital-scrapbooking/supplies/product_info.php/products_id/15566%7B1%7D1%7B8%7D8" is="" stamp="" target="_blank">Family Sentiment Boxes
and the flair is from Two Peas.
Keep an eye out for upcoming PL blog posts!

Project Life 2014 - Week 8

February 16-22, 2014

Keep on going...keep on going....

A little bit behind here, but I'm still going forward with PL this year (so far).

This week my nesting kicked in full force. Seriously. I've done so much baking, it's ridiculous. And by the end of the week, I had nothing to show for it. Between the 3 of us and whoever else raids my house, my baked goods don't even last a week. Although I'm trying here! And lots of cleaning and de-cluttering and getting the baby room ready.

The Title Card is a photo of the front yard with a stamp by Ali Edwards Hello Winter; and the font Viva La Vida. All journal cards and Heart Filler Card are from PL Midnight Kit

Quite a bit of snuggles this week, and it was all worth it.

The Good Mom's filler card is from Paper Coterie: Lessons from Mom's.

You'll be seeing more PL posts this week as I got a nice big batch of photos printed, so you are forewarned!!
