June Project Life 2014: Weeks 24 - 26

So I'm changing some things up here. Instead of trying to blog every week my Project Life layouts (which is failing miserably), I've decided to just blog once a month about them instead. Makes it way easier on me, especially if I'm falling behind. And only one post a month!

Onto the remainder of June's layouts!

Week 24 (June 8-14, 2014)
What we did this week:
Not much really. Lots of walks, visiting with family. Documented Dominique's sleep schedule and what Violet is up to lately.

Supplies Used:
Messy Weekly Lines; journal cards from Midnight and Baby Girl, Hello Awesome is cut on my Silhouette Cameo.

 Week 25 (June 15-21, 2014)

What we did this week:
Celebrated Father's Day, lots of cuddles with Dom, taking the girls to see How To Train Your Dragon 2 (Violet LOVED it!! Dom slept through it) and the usual stuff.

Supplies used:
Messy Weekly Lines; journal cards from Cinnamon; filler card from Baby Girl;

Week 26 (June 22-28, 2014)

What we did this week:
Lots of family time, dance parties, visiting the play parks, cuddles and Family Date. And I even bought myself an Ork Painboy. And started listening to Elise Gets Crafty.

Supplies used:
Messy Weekly Lines; Journal cards from Mayfield; filler card from Baby Girl; misc embellishments

Project Life 2014: Weeks 22+23

Welcome to Project Life 2014: Week 22 (May 25-31)!

A lot of good family time and snuggles this week. And it was nice.

I've been keeping my layouts really simple lately, although I'm hoping to do some more embellishing with upcoming layouts. I have to plan when I'm going to be working on Project Life, which is mainly during the girls' afternoon nap. But then my bed calls for me and I end up sleeping as well. Thankfully, once the girls' are in bed in the evening, I can usually have 2-3 hours of quiet, but then I try to spend it with Keith. Balancing priorities.

Again, I've been using the Messy Weekly Lines to mark the week, which I like a lot. It's nice because I can use a scenic photo or one that doesn't have a lot of "stuff" on there instead of using a Title Card. And it looks good too!

And still using all the journal cards from the Project Life Midnight Kit. Love them.

Why yes! I did catch Dominique smiling. And she's so full of them these days.

Week 23(June 1-7)
Again, lots of family time. I love that I get to be a SAHM (stay at home Mom), because it enables me to catch routines of everyday and watch my girls grow up (way too fast though!).

By the way, notice that both Violet and Dominique kind of sleep the same way, all stretched out? Definitely my girls. And yes, Violet fell asleep reading Green Eggs and Ham, using her Teddy Bear as a bookmark. A girl after my own heart.

The journal cards are a mixture of PL Cinnamon and PL Baby Girl.
The bonus about this week was that I was finally cleared to start riding horses again. Although it's nice to be able to ride again, it's not the same. My own horse died 2 years ago and I'm not keen on getting another one. Life is busy right now with 2 kids and horses are way too expensive for us. I was lucky to have my horse for 18 years, but I'm not looking to get back into it again. My Dad had a horse for me if I want to ride and Violet wanted to see Papa and the horses, so it was nice excuse to be able to ride again, but it's something I won't be doing very often.

Anyway, I digress.

I'm hoping to get the rest upload and blogged by the end of the week and then start working on some series or something for this blog. I like that I've been doing my PL spreads on here, but I'm feeling almost a "push" to start regularly blogging again, mainly about life and motherhood. Hoping to get something off the ground soon.

Project Life 2014 - Weeks 20 + 21

Welcome to Project Life 2014, Week 20 (May 11-17)!

Sorry about the lack of regular posting lately. Time got away from me and I didn't realize how long it's been. I'm going to try to do catch-up posts over the next week to get up to speed.

Week 20 of 2014. Not a whole lot going on, except for Violet taking 10 years off my life in one week, visiting with my grandparents and family time.
"Week Twenty" is from Messy Weekly Lines and the date is font Sunday Comics. Yellow journal card is from PL Baby Girl Kit. Black and White journal card is from the PL Midnight Kit. "Love It" flair is from Two Peas in a Bucket (who, sadly, are closed now). The "#<3 a="" brush="" digital="" from="" href="" is="" target="_blank" this="">Heart Happy
. I was creative enough to spread it across two 3x4's and have it positioned perfectly for cutting it. Yeah!
I used my Pink Sharpie Paint Pen for the upper left photo. And it worked out pretty good! Geo tag is from Studio Calico, journal card is from PL Midnight and the digital stamp is from Embracing the Everyday.

Oh, and lots of cuddles, as you can tell here. Dom's finally been wanting to cuddle when she's tired, which makes me and Keith very happy. And Violet's always happy to see her in the morning as well.

Week 21 (May 18-24)
Lots of family time together this week. Due to so many photos, I had to use an insert, which is a Design A cut in half.
"Week Twenty-One" is from Messy Weekly Lines. Think I'll be sticking with those for the rest of the year, as it's a nice way to get an extra photo in there, especially if it's a scenery one. The font is Brick by Boring Brick. The filler card is a digital stamp from Ali Edwards called Embracing the Everyday and the journal card is from PL Midnight. The hearts are from Studio Calico.
More cute photos of Dom. She's growing up so fast, I can't resist taking photos of her these days! The <3 a="" digital="" family="" from="" href="" is="" stamp="" target="_blank">Family Sentiment Boxes
and the flair is from Two Peas.
Keep an eye out for upcoming PL blog posts!

Project Life 2014 - Week 11

March 9-15, 2014

Ahh...we finally saw some warmer temperatures this week. And it made me and Violet both very happy. Daylight Saving though?....not so happy.

The title card is a freebie from Cathy Zielske, all journal cards are either from the Midnight Kit or the Cinnamon Kit.

I know I said I was just going to stick with one kit for this year, but I still had quite a bit left over from my Cinnamon Kit, that I couldn't let it go to waste. And it goes nicely with Midnight.

Craft time with Violet this week has included a lot of painting. And she loves it! And the sun even came out to play, so me and Violet got to go outside twice this week to play in the snow, take a walk to my pre-natal appointment and even make some little snowmen! And it sure pooped her out. 3 hours of playing in fresh air is a good way to make a 2-year-old very sleepy in the evening. I think Spring is on the way!

Project Life 2014 - Week 10

March 2 - 8, 2014

I love almost being caught up. Hello Week 10!

Not much really happened this week. A lot of snuggling, playing, crafting with paint (!!!), and just general routines happening this week.

The Title Card is from Project Life Cinnamon Kit, with Maya Road Stamps in Memento Ink Angel Pink and Flair that I bought from Two Peas.

Project Life 2014 - Week 9

February 23 - March 1, 2014

PL catch-up? Check!

I really do love this project as I can keep an photograph/journal of our growing family. But I hate falling "behind." Never mind that I'm trying to get Violet's Baby Album done before Baby #2 gets here in April, as well as hopefully starting our Wedding Album and finishing up my Travel Albums. Whew!

Anyway, onto week 9....

The Title Card is from Project Life Cinnamon Kit, with the date stamped on there with my new Pebbles Roller Stamp in Lilac Posies with the flair button from Two Peas. All the Journal Cards are from Project Life Midnight Kit

Excuse the crappy date stamping. I just got the date stamp and learning how to stamp nicely. And I was in a hurry.

Keith even contributed to this week's PL layout. Apparently he likes it when I'm nesting and the house gets cleaned on a daily basis. The purple writing on the bottom is his contribution.

The Currently Card is from A Little Grace and Mercy. Trying to keep one a week going.

I have 2 bi-fold cards for extended journaling that went on that week. Just labelled them with the day and date with random alpha stickers I found around the house.

A certain husband wanted to make sure that I knew that I was loved, even with being 7 months pregnant at the time. He took over my whiteboards with his messages to me. So many reasons why I love that man :)

Project Life 2014 - Week 8

February 16-22, 2014

Keep on going...keep on going....

A little bit behind here, but I'm still going forward with PL this year (so far).

This week my nesting kicked in full force. Seriously. I've done so much baking, it's ridiculous. And by the end of the week, I had nothing to show for it. Between the 3 of us and whoever else raids my house, my baked goods don't even last a week. Although I'm trying here! And lots of cleaning and de-cluttering and getting the baby room ready.

The Title Card is a photo of the front yard with a stamp by Ali Edwards Hello Winter; and the font Viva La Vida. All journal cards and Heart Filler Card are from PL Midnight Kit

Quite a bit of snuggles this week, and it was all worth it.

The Good Mom's filler card is from Paper Coterie: Lessons from Mom's.

You'll be seeing more PL posts this week as I got a nice big batch of photos printed, so you are forewarned!!

Project Life 2014 - Week 7

Welcome to Week 7 of Project Life 2014 (February 9-15, 2014).

More stuff going on this week, and Baby ( is growing bigger and bigger everyday!

The Title Card is from PL Midnight Kit with letter stickers from Basic Grey. I'm running out of those and I really like them! The Kids 4 Sale card is from September Blue. I really couldn't resist picking them up, as some days I need a journal/filler card that sums up a bad day. Tuesday was one of them. The journal cards are from the Midnight Kit, with the exception of the Currently Card, available from A Little Grace & Mercy.

Also, my car has decided that it really HATES winter and decided not to start again. I had a feeling it just needed to be plugged in for a bit, but my work has no plug-ins for employees and I wasn't parked close to the building in order to plug in. So my sister Sam came to my rescue and towed me home. Unfortunately, she had to tow me backwards as she couldn't find anywhere in the front of my car to hook up to. She drove backwards in my car (she's way better at it than I am) while I drove her car forwards. Had to take some back roads to get home, and then push it up her driveway to put into the garage to thaw for a bit. Poor car.

This week was also Valentine's Day. I named that day Pregnancy Emotional Day, and for good reason, but it turned out OK in the end. Violet went to one of her Grandparents for the night, and me and Keith went out for supper and then to a friend's wedding social.

All in all, a pretty good week.

Project Life 2014 - Week 6

Welcome to Week 6 of Project Life (February 2-8, 2014)

Another busy week in the Neufeld household.

Keith went back onto day shift as they had done another switch-up. And all was better in the house because of it! I also had to do my Diabetes Testing for this Pregnancy. That orange drink still tastes like HELL!!

The Title Card is a Groundhog Day Freebie that Cathy Zielske put up with the font First Order typed on there. The Heart Today stamp is Ali Edwards Heart Today Stamp. I realized that I use that one quite a bit (ahem...a lot!), but I like it, and it really sums up what I love. Because it's spread across two 4x6 photos, I had to "cut" it in my scrapbook program and line them up so that it worked and then re-coloured it with some digital paper. Love seeing Violet and Payton (her cousin) spending time with their great-grandparents. Violet even got her nails painted (she asks for it every single time we go down there). And apparently one of her toys (it's Rapunzel and her horse from a toy set she got for Christmas) need food in order to keep on playing. And all journal cards are from PL Midnight Kit.

Again, I needed three 8x10 inserts for notes/handouts from our Pre-Natal class that we're taking.

The Nap time stamp is from Ali Edwards This Time. I love getting photos of Violet sleeping, as sometimes we catch her in the weirdest of positions. Also enter more Daddy snuggles on the couch. The filler cards are from the Baby Girl Kit and the Seafoam Kit.

Project Life 2014 - Week 5

Welcome to Week 5 of Project Life 2014 (January 26 - February 1, 2014)

This week was a bit of a busy one. Keith got switched onto evening shift for 2 weeks due to some switch-ups at work and they needed someone competent to run the machine that he does. Which means that mine and Violet's usual daily routines got messed up a bit. Violet was happy that Daddy was home during the day, but not when she woke up from her afternoon nap. By Friday (or earlier) she had figured out that her nap time means that Daddy's gone when she wakes up. Keith had to take her into bed with him for almost an hour in so that she could get some quality time snuggling with him. She's not a big fan of huge changes.

The Title Card is from Project Life Midnight Kit with miscellaneous letter stickers. I'm trying to be a bit more creative with my title cards, so if they look a bit weird (aka: not "cool"), I apologize. All the journal cards (minus the Currently card) are also from the Midnight Kit. The Currently Card is from A Little Grace & Mercy June 2013 Freebie. And the "Loving Life" card is from Project Life Cinnamon with Violet's colouring on there. The Heart Today stamp is from Ali Edwards Heart Today.

Because I had so many photos, I decided to use an Insert that is a Design A cut in half to do our Family Date that we went on. Also two 8x10 inserts for notes from our Pre-Natal class.

The Filler Cards are from the Project Life Baby Girl Mini Kit as I had wanted to use them somewhere. The Hello Life filler card is from Simple Stories.

I included my goals for February in here as a reminder of what I wanted to get done this month. It seems to help when I write them down and can look back at them.

Project Life 2014: Week 4

Welcome to Week Four of Project Life 2014 (January 19-25)
 Full layout
This week was basically the same old. Pre-Natal appointment, nesting kicking in more (but still much work to be done in the Baby Room), visiting parents and in-laws and Violet growing up faster and faster before our eyes.
Left side of layout
Yes, I got some good funny photos of Violet this week. The bottom left photo is 2, 3x4 photos on a 4x6. The leg photo is where she decided to draw all over her leg with pen. It took 3 days of baths to get that fully off. The adjoining one still flummoxes me. I had put her to bed at night with just her diaper on. She came to me at 8:30am dressed like that. Sweat pants fully on and a full pyjama on backwards. What?! Apparently she was cold in her room (which is damn near impossible because she likes having her heater on).

We've been into watching movies this week and I borrowed Tangled from my sister, thinking that Violet would like it. SHE LOVED IT! I think we ended up watching it about 4 times during the week and I told my sister that if she wants it back, she needs to give me back one of the movies that she borrowed from me over a year ago. Even then, I don't think Violet will be giving it up easily. And when she asks to watch it now, she brings me the case (we don't let her play with the consoles/DVD player) and says "Pun," as in Rapunzel. Seriously girl?
